This question had been asked by many people before, since the big jump on technology in the 1950s to the these days. The idea of making a nuclear powered airplane came back in the 1930s throughout the war as it was thought of being able to develop sometime in the next 50 years. No one expected that nearly 100 years later human beings would still not have a answer. A much more complex choice is to use the solar powered planes, as they are much more eco-friendly and are proved to pollute the environment less than nuclear planes as they only use solar panels to create their energy. Many planes are developed to fly ordinary people as an airliner, that are powered on solar energy. Also massively developing nuclear powered planes wouldn't cost millions of dollars to build, even though the actual energy would be cheap.
