The task to make a nuclear powered airplane is still trying to get accomplished since the 1950s. Very close to reaching this task is Oscar Visnals project called The Flash Falcon. This supersonic aircraft he designed, is the first supersonic aircraft since the Concorde in the 2003. It can go unbelievably 3,680km per hour which is three times the speed of sound, and can hold up to 250 passengers! Its designed to fly on nuclear power, as its equipped with a fusion reactor that pumps the energy into its six electrical engines. Many people think that this project will actually work but the Chief Technology Officer and an expert on vehicles, Simon Weeks states: 'Nuclear fusion is still 50 years ahead.'' Will this prototype be the future?
